  	Joanna was a widow when her father's will was proved, 7 Apr 1845. She was probably a widow when the will was written, 25 Apr 1844, as she was then living with her father. And she wasn't with her husband at the time of the 1841 census so John probably died before then. The only burial in Tamerton Foliot on FMP (as at 15 Aug 2013) for a John Symons (any sp) is one in 1817, for a John born abt 1742! Possible, but seems unlikely given that there would have been nearly 40 years difference in age between John and Joanna.

  	From the Vogwell website (transcript thanks to Helen Price) The above refers to several children but gives no data. Looking through all the Symons (and variants) children baptised in Tamerton, 1806-1826, there only seem to be 2 children of this marriage, the two who were later in dispute over their grandfather's will.
