Name Benjamin SPURRELL Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 3 Jun 1821 St. Bartholomew’s Church, Yealmpton, Devon, England - From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 30 Oct 2012)
Gender Male Apprenticeship 1832 Yealmpton, Devon, England - Yealmpton Parish records include
"Spurrell, Benajamin apprenticed to Anthony, John" - ref, 731/799, year 1832
Since it is in the Parish records it indicates an apprenticeship arranged by the parish to help relieve poverty; usually for boys this meant apprenticeship on a farm, learning general farm work.
I'm sure that this must refer to this Benjamin, possibly as a result of the family facing poverty in the wake of his father's death.

Married 13 Apr 1810 St. Bartholomew’s Church, Yealmpton, Devon, England - Date and place from DFHS index of PR on FMP (viewed 30 Oct 2012)
Easter was late in 1810, 22 April, so Benjamin was marrying in Lent - I don't know how common this was at the time.
A 5 week old Eleanor was bur on 29 Nov 1823 and a 20 day old Robert on 14 Dec 1819; both may well have been children of this marriage
