    • (Research):A married James (but no wife), born Tamerton, age given as 36 so close enough that could be this one, was a 'sarvt' (occupation - servant) but with 'sarvt' and 'visitor' written above in the relationship to head of family column, in the Plume of Feathers Inn in Princetown at the time of the 1851 census.
      Had James and Eliza separated soon after marrying? Or was it just the requirements of his work that led to James and Eliza not being together at the time of the census.

      Those staying at the Inn included several masons and a bell hanger, but the church had been built several years earlier (1810-14) and although shut for some years was reopened in 1831.
