Details from PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 20 Jul 2019)
Like many people Richard didn't fully absort what was being asked for in terms of number of children in the 1911 census and wrote "6 Preavious 2 present" across the total number of children / children still living columns. This is a little surprising since he seems to have had 8 children by this, his "preavious", marriage. It may be read indicate that 6 were still living in 1911; however, his daughter Elsie was married and his son Brian living with an uncle and aunt; both can be found in Bredgar at the time of the 1911 census, so unless Richard was indicating he had disowned 2 of his children it may simply refer to 6 living at home!
