Name Robert PEPPERELL Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised Est 1787 - He was shown as an infant at his burial; I suspect that he was sickly and privately baptized. An entry in 1786 shows a private baptism was only recorded when a child was received into the church; if Robert never became well enough to be brought to church then quite likely his baptism would go unrecorded.
I am guessing that Robert was the son of John and Elizabeth; there is sufficient time between their other children and they seem to be the only Pepperell family in the parish at this time.
However, for some reason Roger and Mary of Stokenham did have their son Philip baptised in South Pool in 1786 so it is possible Robert was their son.
