Notes - In his will Richard Halke referred to 'my brother Thomas Raines & his wife and to William Raines'
I suspect the William referred to was Thomas's son but I'm not certain.
In 1648 a Thomas Raines of Yalding left a will, in which just one child was named, a son William, as well as his wife Jane.
I suspect these two families are the same but can't be sure.
Yalding is a sufficient distance from Yalding that when I first saw Thomas's will I doubted it was the right one, but since discovering that his father was 'of Burham' it seems more likely, as Yalding is not very far from Burham.
