      There was a William Whitehead baptised in Halstead in 1808, but place less likely and date wrong (though not impossibly far out), for the William who married Ann Hoare. Considering both it seems much more likely William was the illegitimate son of Lydia. In addition William's marriage PR entry does not name a father, also pointing to this baptism.
