  • Name William BRISLEY
    Relationshipwith Teresa Ann GOATHAM
    Born Abt 1774
    • Estimate about 1774 based on date of baptism of his wife and date of their marriage; also most likely year from age in burial record (assuming I have the burial for the right William Brisley)
Baptised 11 Sep 1774  St. Mary and St. Sexburga’s Church, Minster, Sheppey, Kent, England See the place on a map and other information about it - if available (many more will be in time); also all individuals with events at this location
    • From KFHS transcribed data (CD 16)
Shows William son of Theophilous and Mary
    Gender Male
    Died
    • A William was buried 18 Mar 1827 at Iwade - if this Wm did move from Harty to Iwade it could well be his burial. Age given as 52 which implies born 1774 / 5 so ties in with the one who was the son of Theophilus.
Buried 12 Mar 1827  All Saints’ Church, Iwade, Kent, England See the place on a map and other information about it - if available (many more will be in time); also all individuals with events at this location
    • KFHS transcript, CD 17
    Notes
    • Lots of Wm Brisleys bapt in Kent 1770s and a few years before and after that could have been the one that married Elizabeth Goatham. Possibly most likely is the Wm bapt in Minster in Sheppey in 1774, son of Theo. and Mary - they had also had another Wm bapt Milton-next-Sittingbourne in 1768.
In addition, Theophilus was buried in Harty (1817) - perhaps he had moved there in old age to be looked after by his son and dau in law.
