  • Wills (transcripts)
    The will of John Goatham (c. 1566 - 1622)
    The will of John Goatham (c. 1566 - 1622)
The will of one of Susan's brothers called John - the one who was living at Burmarsh. He didn't mention any of his other sisters, I don't know if this means she was the only one still living or his favourite.
Or maybe it was in gratitude for assitance when he had (twice) been left a widower with young children - since Susan was still a Goatham it appears she had not married so she may have been free to help in a way his other sisters weren't.
