No indication of marital status, but it can't be Benett Allen who was married Samuel Gotam re-marrying as a widow as Samuel didn't die until 1623.
If it wasn't that Benett, who was she? Probably not a god-daughter of that Bennett, either, unless she was a god-mother before linked to the Gothams by her marriage to Samuel.
While Samuel and Benett may have named a daughter Benett she could only have been about 13 at most in 1606, a bit young to have married. Samuel's possible 1st cousin John, bapt like Samuel in Chartham and from the date of baptism close to him in age, lived in Burmarsh; this connection may have been how a Benett from that family came to marry in Burmarsh.
Or did John himself call a daughter Benett? This Benett died in 1627/8 i.e. after John, but she is not mentioned in his will, so probably not his daughter.
Nor would she seem to be a sister of John as not named in his father's will. Perhaps a sister of Samuel? Bennett was quite a popular name at the time so Samuel could co-incidentally have had both a wife and a sister with the same name.
Or else probably linked further back than I have been able to discover Goathams in Kent.
