This Mary seems likely as she had a father Robert who may have been the witness, especially as she was under 21. She also had a brother Robin, sometimes recorded as Robert, but I think was proabably a mistake and he would have not signed his own name as Robert (and the handwriting does not look the same as his signature when he married).
An alternative Mary to be the one who married John Lakeman was the one baptised in Charleton in 1750. If from Charleton could she have been shown as sojourner? I think so, if the family moved to another Parish, or if Mary had, as often happened when a girl became a servant prior to marriage; she may then have returned shortly before the marriage. The fact that her maiden name was first written in the register before being corrected when their first child was baptised does suggest the priest may have thought of her as Mary Pepperell, i.e. have known her because she had lived for sometime in Charleton. On the other hand, there is no obvious Robert who might have been the witness - no brother, father, 1st cousin or uncle or this name.
Who was the Robert who witnessed the wedding? If Mary was an only child can't have been a brother, and not the father of this Mary. Simon seems still to have been alive so I don't think the marriage was of his widow.
Were there children? - date span over which born might give a clue to her age.
