      John was shown as worker / employed in the 1891 and 1901 censuses, rather than being an employer or working on his own account.
      In 1901 his nephew John Wright Vogwill was living with the family, following in his father and uncle's footsteps as a mason and builder (worker). He was later to return to Devon.
