Since Maria was with her mother in Stepney at the time of the 1841 census I am assuming that is where she was born.

The only Delves in the Stepney Reg Dist at this time appear to be Hugh and Mary and their family; that as well as their naming another child Maria leads me to belive the death was of this Maria

Shows Hugh was of full age, Mary a minor, ba and spinster, Hugh a seaman, both resident Gillingham, Hugh's father Hugh Delves, Farrier; Mary's father William Pritchard, shipwright.

Another researcher suggested this Mary married Edward Caslin at St. Dunstans in Stepney on 16 Mar 1846. I think the Mary who marr Edward Caslin was prob shown as born Bristol aged 55 at the time of the 1851 census, living in Limehouse.
Mary's mother Sibella had a granddau Mary Delves, born about 1839. Looking for an approp Delves / Pritchard marr there is one in 1839, in Medway RD (more likely for this Mary - includes Chatham where she was born and grew up)
