Name Elizabeth NOSWORTHY Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Gender Female Buried 16 Mar 1732/33 St. Peter’s Church, Meavy, Devon, England
- I am only aware of 2 Elizabeth Northmores who could have died in 1732, this one and my direct ancestor, wife of Richard; they lived in Sheepstor when there children were baptised and I have no reason to suppose they moved to Meavy so I think it more likely this Elizabeth. However, the older Elizabeth could have moved to Meavy in old age to be looked after by one of her children and been buried there. At least her son Richard (father-in-law of this Elizabeth) was still alive in 1732 and seems to have been living in Meavy.
This Elizabeth dying in 1733 could though be why there were no more children after 1731. As a young woman child birth or pregnancy was probably the biggest risk she faced of a premature death, and she might well have died of such.
