  Notes	(Research):2nd letter of surname wasn't clear to me, but all other letters are; another marriage in Bishopsteignton (1658) has the name more clearly as Avenant (Elizabeth), as has a burial in 1690 (Thomas); looking again I believe it is a 'u' or 'v'. I guess this unusual name is a variation of the name Avant, found in other parishes in the area.
