  • Name Catherine HAYLER
    Relationshipwith Teresa Ann GOATHAM
    Born
    • If it was this Katheine who remarried in 1769 aged 51 then born about 1718.
The only bapt of a Cath* HAYLER 1680-1726 in the SFHG database (as at 1 Oct 2013) is one born 1718 so this seems likely to be the one who married Nicholas Shelley.
Baptised 9 May 1718  St. Margaret’s Church, Warnham, Sussex, England See the place on a map and other information about it - if available (many more will be in time); also all individuals with events at this location  [1
    Gender Female
    Died Aft 11 May 1769  [2
    • After 1 May 1758 from will of William Harwood, after 11 May 1769 if I am right that it was this Catherine who remarried in 1769.
    Bequest Abt 1781  [2
    • Catherine was named as a beneficiary in 1758 when William wrote his will, but it wasn't proved until 1781 suggesting he may not have died until shortly before that, so Catherine may not still have been alive to benefit and what William had to leave may have changed. (I have yet to see the will)
    Notes
    • (Research):A 51 year old widow Katherine Shelley of Fittleworth (7 or 8 miles from Thakeham) remarried in 1769 - was it this Katherine?
