Dorothy WHITLOCKE
Set As Default Person -
Name Dorothy WHITLOCKE Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born - I estimated 1635 based on date of marriage; the following baptism is probably this Dorothy. Throwley is close to Faversham, and there is no sign of a burial / other marriage of a Dorothy.
Baptised 6 May 1638 St. Michael and All Angels’ Church, Throwley, Kent, England
- From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 26 Jan 2019)

Notes - (Research):FMP index shows no baptism of a Dorothy Whitlooke / Whitlock etc. (in Kent at the appropriate time)
There was an Alice Whitlocke baptised in Faversham in 1643 (dau of Edward and Elizabeth who had marr in 1642 in Fav) and Henrie Whitlocke in 1631 (son of Georg and Alice). In Faversham but not showing under Whitlock in FMP index 11 Nov 1632 Richard s of Georg & Alice, 7 Mar 1640/1 Frances d of Arthur and Frances - Frances the child bur 8 Oct 1643.
(Faversham bapt missing between 7 Mar 1640/1 and Feb 1642/3 - looks like page may have dropped out or been stolen)Have browsed the images for 1628 - 1643, in case the entry had been mis-transcribed, not found bapt of Dorothy AND hardly any illegible entries.

[2] - In 1649 Dorothy's guardian was her brother-in-law Vincent Brice (husband of her sister Mary). Vincent was, like Michael, a Faversham Hoyman, and it seems probable that as such he knew and was a friend of Michael's and introduced the two; quite likely Vincent arranged the marriage.

Under heading 'Marigs' - 'October 10 Michild Rickson and Dorothy Whitlooke' [Drick crossed out and replaced with Rickson - was the surname misheard at first? - it seems to be the first Rickson event at St Mary of Charity Faversham so would not have been a name the scribe was used to]
