No birth registration of an Arthur Henry BATEMAN (or Henry Arthur) found, I think Ann Beacon probably did not marry Henry Bateman due to her 'husband' being alive (she was probably not married to George, certainly not legally, but she may not have told Henry this), so was it their son's birth registered as Arthur Henry BEACON? (there were quite a few other Arthur Henrys with various surnames born Marylebone Reg Dist c. 1856/7, but this one seems too much to be coincidence:
GRO ref: Beacon, Arthur Henry q2 1857 Marylebone RD 1a 392; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Weller
Also, Weller was quite a common name in Tenterden, which is where the censuses show Arthur's mother as having been born.
