    • Admon. show as 'of Slapton', but no burial found there, his burial might have been the one for a Thomas in Stokenham in 1695. On the other hand, I haven't found another burial that could be his father (there's a dearth of Mortimores in Stokenham in the C18th), and the burial register entry didn't show Thomas as 'of Slapton' as is commonly found where someone was from another parish.
