    • n.b. I can't be certain that the Robert who married Susanna was the one shown here.
      Robert was a popular name amongst the Pepperells and it is possible that there was another born about 1759.
      However, since the Stokenham-baptised son of Robert and Mary appears to have left that Parish and I haven't found him in the neighbouring parishes of Slapton, Sherford etc. it seems quite likely.
