Robert was a popular name amongst the Pepperells and it is possible that there was another born about 1759.
However, since the Stokenham-baptised son of Robert and Mary appears to have left that Parish and I haven't found him in the neighbouring parishes of Slapton, Sherford etc. it seems quite likely.

Although there was another William born around the same time in West Alvington, I think the marriage was this one because the baptism of his child shows he was a Yeoman at Woolston.
