- I think it was probably this Alice who was buried in Folkestone.
A stone in the church there commemorates an Alice, wife of Richard, with a date 164?; it was put there by a son William. Perhaps Alice moved to live with her son after being widowed.

Hastingleigh website shows Alice as a PEMBLE, I don't know where this is from, but it seems to be incorrect.
When he died Richard's wife was Alice, but he may have been married more than once and she need not have been mother of all (or any) of his children
