Notes - (Research):'A Visitation of Kent, 1619' shows that Thomas, son of Stephen and grandson of Sampson, was aged 20, i.e. born about 1599.
'The Visitation of Kent in 1663-1668' shows Thomas, husband of Elizabeth Kennard, as son of Sampson, not Stephen; Stephen and his wife Joan Brett are not shown at all. However, the licence for the marriage of Thomas to Elizabeth Kennard shows that this Thomas was born about 1599. Since that agrees with the dob in the other visitation I think there was just one Thomas, and that a generation has been accidentally omitted.
The latter visitatioin also shows an Elizabeth Kennard as the daughter of Sampson, whereas the marriage licence shows her father as John.
