n.b. although this shows the bride as Evelyn G, the local index on the KCC website shows her as Emily G; it seems to be an error in the GRO index or the GRO copy of the PR entry.
Although Emily was born in Ashford, it looks as though the family may have moved to Faversham (or Sheldwich, just outside the town) as her older sister married in Faversham RD in 1922, and her father was buried in the town cemetery, described as 'of Sheldwich', in 1940.
