- (Research):I am showsing Ruth as the daughter of John but this not certain. I have not found her baptism, nor John's death.
John was not with Ann at the time of the 1841 census on 6 June, so clearly he could have been dead by then but still have been her father.
John was shown as Ruth's father on her marriage certificate.

- I think that this marriage was probably of this John - I haven't checked the Johns from neighbouring parishes for other possibles.
Looking at the censuses it is apparent that the a John who was married to Ann moved to Cornwood. I suspect that is this one, the son of Joseph and Mary, as they had moved to Cornwood when their son John was a small child. There may, though, have been 2 couples named John and Ann. A gravestone at Cornwood for a John and Ann Northmore was for a John born about 1790 and Ann born about 1788 which would seem to fit this couple. Unfortunately neither the grave nor the death registration index show any middle names for the Ann, but nor is there an Ann with this one's middle initials in the index at any other date.
A John and Ann had a child baptised in Buckland Monachorum in 1834 (13 Apr, abode Buckland, father a labourer). Was it the same couple who had 3 children baptised 1819-1824?
