Harry William GOATHAM in his will left his property equally between his children, saying "Harry William Goatham Cooper I could this has one of my Children and he is to have his Equal Share". 'Treat as' may suggest he wasn't, but legally he wasn't, if no action had been taken to legitimise him, so there is no reason to infer from this wording that he wasn't. As the male line descending from Harry appears to have died out there is no scope for easy checking through DNA, though a closish match between Harry and descendants of his probably father's siblings etc. may add evidence.

A "Henry William Goatham" marr in Bristol in 1907 - this must be Harry as Florence Hinkley is on the same page and the 1911 census shows her first name was Florence and her siblings surname was Hinkley!
