Richard HALKE
Set As Default Person -
Name Richard HALKE Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 22 Sep 1638 All Saints’ Church, Petham, Kent, England
- From PR entry (image on FMP, I think this baptism was probably this Richard's.
I had wondered it the Richard baptised Petham 1638 as her was the son of Richard bap. 1592/3 in Petham. However, I think it probable that that Richard married a Priscilla and had a family in Canterbury. (It is unlikely that the Richard bap 1592/3 in Petham is the one who died in Hastingleigh 1681, though not impossible; it seems unlikely both because it would make him nearly 90 at death and also a bit distantly related to the Rev. John who left a bequest to this Richard's brother William)

- From date on marriage licence.
The marriage was probably at St. Margaret's Canterbury as this was the only church shown on the licence. The PRs for this date do not survive, so there is no image on FMP, but the ATs and BTs for this date do survive.
