"June 1615 Thomas Blush & Mary Burr were maried the 5th day"
There were marriages of Mary BURs in Marden in 1612 and 1615. The will of William BURR (died 1612) shows his daughter Mary to be the wife of John WALKER, and that his son Edward's widow was called Mary; hence I think this marriage probably this Mary's remarriage. The will of William ('middle'), son of the afore mentioned William describe's Mary Blush, wife of Thomas as his sister. However, the fact that Mary was shown as Mary Bur and not Mary Walker, together with William 'middle''s blood sister Mary appearing to have died in 1614 point to it being this Mary who married Thomas Blush, and suggest William 'middle' was referring to his sister-in-law as his sister (this was not unusual, though I'm not sure if it often found at the same time as others are described as 'in-law', as is the case here). Further evidence that it was this Marie who married Thomas is that in the inventory of her son William 'junior'. In that Thomas Blush is described as father-in-law (a term often used in the past for step-fathers).
