Other Partners: Jane HUMMERSON m. Abt 12 Oct 1587; Margarett BLACHER m. 1599Mother Alice PLOTT, b. (probably), Stockbury, Kent, England

- 'The Visitation of Kent, 1619' shows James [Jacobus], the son of Sampson's marriage to Jane Hummerson, as his 3rd son, the first 2 being from his marriage to Alice. If this is correct then Sampson must have married Alice by about 1584, more likely a few years earlier.
Alice was shown as the daughter of Alexander Plott of Stockbury.
Details from Kent marriage index, on FMP, shows Sampson Handfield to Alice Ploot. Shown as 1566, the index seems to use NS dates (it certainly is in some cases) and I am assuming it is here.
