Occupation 1911 Bath Chairman - Working on his own account, his occupation in the census is actually recorded as a 'Bath Chairman', but I am sure that in the sense that he could be emplyed to push a bath chair, not that he was a Chairman of some organisation in Bath!
Examples of this use of the term chairman in the OED refer to them being used by the well-to-do who might be elderly or invalids (in Bristol) but also to propel "young ladies in Bath chairs from one call to the next in the early days of married Fellowships, while their proud husbands walked starched and stiff beside them" (in Victorian Oxford).

I suspect Louisa was Edwin's sister. Not researched this, but a Louisa MASON married a Henry HAMMOND in Chichester RD in 1867 -

Edwin signed, Ann made her mark, as did both witnesses - Alice Beaton (Ann's youngest sister) and William Wells, brother of her sister Carrie.

No children with them in any subsequent census so probably had none; seems to be confirmed by GRO index lacking any birth registrations for MASON with mother's maiden name BEATON that could be theirs.
