with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Abt 1595 - Since he was described as 'of St Clare' at the time of his marriage, I at first guessed he was the John Connock shown in the 1620 visitation (Vivian, 1887 edn. p.93). as son of John Connock of Treworgy and Margery née Beill.
The 1620 vis shows him as son and heir, aged 25, so born about 1595. A problem with this is that that John appears to have left a will, written 1645, proved 1657. It does not mention a wife, though it does mention a widowed daughter (possibly a daughter-in-law), either way indicating he had been married.
Could this be because John and Alice had parted company, rather than Alice having died? Probably not, as the History of Parliament website shows that his widow had remarried to Edmund Fowell by 1647.
Another possibility would seem to be that Margery, wife of the older John Connock had died and Alice had married that John.
However, the HoP entry for Edmund Fowell also describes Alice as ' wid. of John Connock of Harewood', suggesting this John may be more distantly related to the main Treworgy line.

- Marriage licence shows he was resident St. Cleer at the time of his marriage. If I am right in identifying him as the John Connock born about 1595, son and heir to John Connock who married Margery Beill, then he was resident Treworgey (but see birth notes).
