In the pedigree of Hill of Shilston in Vivian he shows Robert as marrying Margaret, dau of Sir Richard Champernowne of Modbury and refers to p. 180. This page has no Champernownes, Vivian appears to mean p. 162. Here it is apparent that, assuming that Robert's wife was a Margaret Champernowne, dau of a Sir Richard, she can't be the daughter of the one as shown. A grandson, Alexander, of a full brother of the Margaret as shown was born in about 1382. There were a number of Sir Richard Champernownes; maybe Margaret was the daughter of the one shown as her nephew, who was probably born c. 1350 - father of the Alexander b. about 1382 by his first wife; had a grandson by his secobnd wife b. 1416.
