Joan, d. Yes, date unknown (Grandmother)
Notes - Vivian (Visitations, p. 160) shows this Sir Richard as the son of another Sir Richard and grandson of plain Richard Champernowne of Modbury and his wife Joan. Joan is described as "heiress of Sir Alexander Okeston by Joan his wife, relict of Richard de Valletort, who was supposed to be concubine of Richard Earl of Cornw. and King of the Romans".
Colby's "The Visitation of the County of Devon in the Year 1620" describes on p, 286 the Trevilian arms as having the Trevilian part quartered with the arms from 9 other families. For 8 of these 9 I can identify the heiresses through whom the arms would have been incorporated with the Trevilian arms, but for the 9th, Cornwall, I cannot. I wonder if the implication is that the above Joan Champernowne née Okeston was actually the son of Richard, Earl of Cornwall, and thus his arms were incorporated? (that said, just because I have not seen another link to an heiress from the Cornwall family certainly does not mean there is not one; my knowledge of Trevilian ancestors is so far from complete that I could easily have not come across it).
