- John's wife shown in Vivian (Cornwall Visitations, Glanville p. 177, from 1620 Visitation info.); on tree signed by Oliver, presumably the son of this couple.
Date and place of marriage from transcribed data on FamilySearch, where given as 12 Feb 1587, OS or NS not clear. This image of a transcription clearly has Jan - Feb entries in a year after April - Dec, and also shows the marriage as in 1587, so it seems safe to assume the date is OS, Names given as Christian Eastcott and John Gianvile. From LDS film 246763, 'Cornwell County monumental inscriptions and parish register extracts, abt. 1700-1900.', parish register extracts 1563-1812 for Parish Church of Launceston; source of extracts not given.
The short time between the marriage and Christian's death (no more than 7 months) means that few if any of John's children could be the children of Christian, although shown as such in Vivian (Cornwall Visitations).
