KENDALL
Set As Default Person -
Name KENDALL Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Gender Female Residence Treworgey, Duloe, Cornwall, England
- The Kendall family owned and lived at Treworgye in Duloe parish for centuries, according to Gilbert. He metions in particular Richard de Kendall, Sheriff of Cornwall in 1385, and the family remained there until one John Kendall who had no issue but debts sold it in the time of William III.
[I'm not sure if the Kendall who married a Killyow, assuming there was such, herself lived at Treworgye; added here to add notes about the family with a map entry]
Died Yes, date unknown Person ID I21582 All | Teresa's direct ancestors Last Modified 9 Jun 2016
Family John KILLYOW, b. Est 1448, d. Yes, date unknown Married Est 1473 - According to Gilbert a Kendall brought West North to the Killyow family in the time of Edward IV. IF that is correct then it could well be the marriage of this John (his name from Vivian, Cornwall Vis, citing College of Arms - name of wife not given).
However, the Gilbert account is clearly wrong is some other details, so this date could be too, and with very approximate estimates of dates it need not have been this marrage.
