      Judging by Vivian's Cornwall Visitations (p. 57) Francis was the oldest son of Francis Buller of Tregarrick who had died in 1649; the Francis of Shillingham involved in the marriage settlement was this Francis' 1st cousin, son of his father's eldest brother Sir Richard Buller, sometime M.P. and Sheriff of Cornwall in 1637.
