  	From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 5 June 2016) "John Lugger of Sorteridge was buried the 15 day of December" - under heading 'Anno Domini 1588' A Chancery Court case shows that the parents of this John had lived at Sortridge; by the time of this death his widowed mother had probably remarried to Edward Skirrett who also appears to have lived there; hence it was probably the home of this John. Comments like 'of Sorteridge' are infrequent in the PR at this time, but another John Lugger was baptised in Whitchurch in 1573; the reference to Sortridge may well have been to distinguish this John from him.
