I guess he was born after his brother William, as few baptisms were recorded in Chislett 1648-1661 (none for some years), but he could have been older than his brother William (he was mentioned before him in his step-father's will). In Hoath, baptisms were fewer than number and jumbled in order from 1642.

  	Living when his step-father wrote his will in 1670. Not mentioned in his step-brother Elias Rowe's will written 1682/83, though his brother and sister were, so he had possibly died by then. Alternatively, he could have been the John Stark of Chislett buried in Reculver on 18 October 1692.
