(In 1881 Lilian with her mother and great aunt Harriet and others were living probably next door, at least next census entry, to William).
Residence From 1891 to 1901 10, Victoria Street, Sheerness, Sheppey, Kent, England - Shown as 'niece' - should be to head of household, William Goatham, but quite often these relationships can be to the wife or last listed; so she could be a niece of Harriett Burrus, née Rutland, housekeeper for William Goatham (though soon to be his wife). The 1881 census answers this - she was living next door in the household then header by Harriet Burrus, shown as niece. Actually, though, a great niece, daughter of Harriet's niece Louisa, who was also with her in 1881. By 1891 Louisa was married, still at 12 Victoria Road, but Harriet and Lilian had moved next door! The following year William Goatham died, but his by then wife remained at No. 10, and Lilian was still with her at the time of the 1901 census.
