    • Is this the right death? The censuses suggest Charles died between 1871 and 1881, his wife being shown as a widow in the latter. However, not only is the surname spelt differently in this death registration but more importantly his age appears 11 or 12 years younger than the census suggested.
      Despite these discrepancies I think the death probably was of this Charles - maybe an Irish accent not clear to the registrant led to the anomalies.
