Henry MARTIN
Set As Default Person -
Name Henry MARTIN Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 18 Oct 1730 St. Laurence’s Church, St. Lawrence in Thanet, Kent, England
- From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 18 Feb 2017)
Gender Male Died Yes, date unknown Buried - With his mother dying in childbirth it is likely that Henry did not live long. The KFHS transcribed data records the burial of a Henry on 26 Jan 1731/2 in St. Lawrence, but actually this was Jervs. With plenty of Martins in St Lawrence and no other information in the burial register about many of the burials it is hard to determine what became of Henry.

Father John MARTIN, b. Est 1704, d. Yes, date unknown Mother Elizabeth GOATHAM, b. Abt 1708, bur. 15 Oct 1730, St. Laurence’s Church, St. Lawrence in Thanet, Kent, England
(Age ~ 22 years) Married Abt Oct 1727 - * Did this marriage take place? *
The licence allowed 2 possible venues, but browsing the PRs there is no entry in either. Also nothing in them or elsewhere in the index on FMP. The East Kent marriage index which usually combines information from various sources only shows both parishes for the place, i.e. from the licence for this marriage, so the compilers of that can't have found other evidence either.
Possibly though there was just an error made and it was accidentally omitted from a PR.
I suspect they did marry and the child and Elizabeth's death are as shown here.
