with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born - With John mentioning a brother Thomas (clearly still living when he wrote it) I think it was probable that John's brother Thomas was the one who married my ancestor Ellenor, as that Thomas was also of Appledore, probably of a similar age to John and also similar social standing. It's possible, though, that there was more than one Thomas in Appledore at the time and that I have muddled them.
(studying the PRs might strengthen - or weaken - the case for John being brother to Thomas husband of Ellenor)
