Middle name relationship After Michael GOATHAM, her uncle (by marrigae) and substitute father?
    • When Clara was born her name was registered simply as Clara DAW. However, when she was two her mother gave birth to Clara's sister. Sadly neither mother nor baby survived, and Clara then appears to have been brought up by her mother's sister, Sarah and Sarah's husband Michael Goatham.
By the time she married Clara was using the middle name Goatham, presumably respecting the uncle and aunt who had brought her up, though she correctly named her father as Henry Daw, not Michael Goatham who could be considered her foster-father.
