  • Name Agnes PEDERTON
    Relationshipwith Teresa Ann GOATHAM
    Born Est 1395
    • Based on approximate dob of her husband. Shown in Vivian, citing 1564 vis, as the daughter and heir of John Pederton and Cecilia Turney (also an heiress).

This seems reasonable since the Turney family clearly had property in the area where Agnes's second son Peter subsequently had property, a long way from Poltimore where Agnes would have lived with John and which was inherited by her first son.

Buried St. Mary the Virgin’s Church, Poltimore, Devon, England See the place on a map and other information about it - if available (many more will be in time); also all individuals with events at this location
    • * Possibly * buried in Poltimore Church.
Although her name appears on a stone in Poltimore Church it is not certain she was buried there. The stone was recut in the C19th so the wording cannot be relied on. Maybe when the stone was originally engraved for her husband John her name was included in anticipation (I have seen this elsewhere). Or, since it seems to have been placed by their son William, and 'lies' (iacent) like the date is clearly a recent carving was it just in memory of both of them, despite Agnes being buried elsewhere?
