Notes - Did George exist? The only evidence I have for him is the name on a tree in Hutchins (v.II, p.78), not the most reliable of sources. He is shown as having several children (by a symbol, no names), showing he did not die in infancy, yet is not mentioned in the will of his brother Thomas or his father William.
William's sons William and Thomas are both missing from the tree; Thomas appears to have died childless but William may have had a family, and I wonder if George is an error recorded by Hutchings instead of William.
