He is not in Surrey vis, and more significantly not in the list of children of William. * I am therefore a bit dubious about his being a son of William, * although the window at Camberwell does suggest there could have been children not on the list. He is also not mentioned in any of the wills I have seen of his supposed siblings (Thomas son of Wm did have a son Matthew who died before he wrote his will in 1568 - was this the Matthew CTG was referring to, misplaced? or was Thomas naming his son after a brother Matthew?)
There clearly was a Matthew Muschamp with property in Surrey, since there was an IPM in 1579.
I am leaving Matthew here on the tree until I have seen the IPM and hopefully learnt more about where he fits.
