    Married
    • John's wife
No other Ellesdon events found in Lyme Regis in the second half of the C17th than for John and his family and his brother William and his family. Their father Anthony had mentioned no wife in his will so appears to have died a widower. With evidence that William's wife was buried in Charmouth (from a monument there) it would seem that widow Mistress Sarah Ellesdon was John's widow.

      Children
There is a large gap in the baptisms (or births) in Lyme Regis register to 1653, and a small gap from 1660 to 1665. It is possible that John had one or more children before Grace, and probable that he and Sarah had 2 or 3 children between John (1658) and Mary (1666).
