- Actual date (20 Dec 1875) from the 1939 register; however, if I am right about which Betsy it was who John married, than the date was probably 20 Dec 1877.
I think the Betsy that John was married to was probably Betsy Midmore, with him and a daughter at the time of the 1911 census, shown as 'Servant' in the 'Relationship to Head of Family' column. Something is written above this which I think is probably 'neice'.

GRO ref: MIDMORE, Betsy q4 1877 Ticehurst RD 2b 104; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Ripley.
Ticehurst RD included Salehurst Parish, in which Robertsbridge is situated, which is where Betsy is shown as having been born in the 1911 census.
John's first wife Naomi was a Ripley, so Betsy was probably a niece as the daughter of Naomi's sister.
