    • In 1851 in Slapton with husband, 2 children and a servant - 11 year old Maria Fogwill (on this tree, though only known to be related by marriage)

      Probably lived in Slapton till between 1856 and 1858 as birth of all children up to and including Alma were registered in Kingsbridge RD which includes Slapton, then just (Lucy / Louisa?) in Totnes RD (into which Dartmouth fell). (1st 2 children at least were born Stokenham if 1851 census is correct but baptised Slapton; maybe Susan went to her mother for the births)

      Emigrated to Australia in 1859, with her husband and 6 children. They departed Dartmouth on 1 May 1859 on the barque "Excelsior" in charge of Captain Lewis, and arrived in Hobart (Tasmania) on 3 Aug 1859.
