Notes - (Research):Which Grace Lavers married in 1865, which died in 1868?
Born Grace Taylor, she seems not to have used that name after her mother remarried to Arthur Lavers (possibly her father) in 1846. The birth of another Grace Lavers was registered in Kingsbridge RD in q2 1843. Looking at the birth registration (GRO online index) shows her mother was a Luckham, and finding an appropriate marriage shows her parents were William and Elizabeth. They are all to be found living in West Alvington in the 1851 and 1861 censuses, with Grace shown as born there. This is consistent with the birth registration, West Alvington being just outside of Kingsbridge and in Kingsbridge Registration District.
One Grace Lavers married in 1865, in Dodbrooke the other died in 1868, and was buried in Dodbrooke. Which was this Grace? The one who married married one William March Lidstone. Looking for William and Grace Lidstone in the 1871 census shows that that Grace was the one born in West Alvington. Hence I conclude that it was this Grace who died in 1868.
